MLB Star's Wife Claims Her Dog Was Viciously Killed

Share

The wife of Los Angeles Dodgers star Justin Turner is suing an L.A. neighbor, claiming her dog was attacked and killed by the neighbor’s dog.

Kourtney Turner says a neighbor’s dog, a German Shepherd named Sonny, got onto her property and attacked her miniature pinscher, Dior, in November 2016, according to a copy of the lawsuit obtained by TMZ.

Dior later died from the attacks, she said.

In the lawsuit, according to TMZ, Turner claims the dog’s owner knew Sonny got violent with other dogs and did nothing to stop it.

Turner said in the lawsuit that she was “too paralyzed by fear” to jump in and save Dior during the attack..

Turner is suing the neighbor for vet bills and other costs associated with Dior’s death.

She is also seeking damages for pain and suffering.

The lawsuit said Turner “relied upon the emotional support of Dior for her well-being,” according to TMZ.

The Turners got a new dog, Moonshine, a few months after Dior’s death.

“Eleven years wasn’t long enough, and to be honest, forever wouldn’t have been either,” Kourtney Turner said in an online post about Dior after his death.

“You taught me unconditional love & we will never ever forget you,” she added.

The Turners were married in March.
