Mom Sneaks Up on Kids Singing as They Clean Bathroom, Records Incredible Duet on Camera

Share

We’ve seen our fair share of viral videos around here. But this one may just top them all, especially if you just so happen to be a John Denver fan.

Parents, we’ve all been there. We ask our kids to do a task or chore, only to find them procrastinating at any cost.

One mom from Idaho asked her kids to clean the bathroom. Thankfully, she found them doing as she asked, though what she found when she checked on them involved some creativity.

Amber Kathleen Tullis Waite posted what she discovered on Facebook. The video has since been viewed 5.4 million times to date! When you watch what this mom recorded, you’ll understand why.

“I asked the kids to clean the bathroom!” she wrote. “10 minutes later??”

The duet featuring her son and daughter is something else!

Take a look at the gorgeous harmony these voices produce. Brooke and Branson Waite may just be the next big thing in music.

Their rendition of John Denver’s “Country Roads” brought tears to my eyes. These aren’t even my kids, but this video tugged on my mama heartstrings in a very real way.

“We feel so grateful for the views, kindness and encouraging words from all of you!” their mom wrote in an update on her post.

The comments certainly are encouraging. One person said, “So beautiful! My dad recently passed January 2nd and this was one of his absolutely favorite songs/artist. So wonderful. Thank you.”

While Waite’s son is clearly not cleaning the bathroom, her daughter is. And I’ll bet the mom didn’t mind at all that Branson wasn’t helping.

Because, in a way, he was. His beautiful playing and haunting voice perfectly compliment his sister’s. What a way to get a chore done! Wow!

This isn’t the first time that these two have used their amazing vocals to stun viewers. Branson seems to favor Johnny Cash. Watch as he performs a cover of  “Ring of Fire.”

These two need to be on “The Voice.” Someone call Blake Shelton, because we may have just found some perfect additions to his team.

Speaking of voices, Brooke is just as talented as her brother. Listen as she sings “Jealous of the Angels” in honor of a friend who passed away.

“I believe that she is so much more alive now in a place more beautiful than we can imagine,” Brooke wrote on YouTube.

We echo that belief and hope to see much more from this dynamic duo in the future. Together or apart, their voices are truly ones that make you stop and listen.
