President Trump Tweets Tucker Carlson About Media's Lynching of Catholic School Boys

Share

The narrative surrounding the highly controversial video featuring teenagers from Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky and Native American activists finally seems to be turning the corner.

As the full video of the encounter emerged it became abundantly clear that the teenagers wearing “Make America Great Again” hats were not the racist punks that the leftist media painted them to be.

But as good as it is that the truth eventually came out, the damage had already been done.

Thanks to the reckless and shameless “reporting,” and I’m using that term loosely, of the leftist media, those teenagers were maligned and smeared without so as much anyone asking to see more evidence of what actually happened. Remind me again what the definition of “lynching” is?

Whether you think these kids’ lives are ruined or not is irrelevant. Thanks to the media, it’s inarguable that their lives are irrevocably changed.

But that doesn’t have to be all bad news.

If there’s the faintest of silver lining here, it’s that these young men who were unfairly dragged through the mud have gained some powerful support from conservatives.

None of that burgeoning support, however, is as powerful as what the president of the United States had to say.

Responding to Fox News host Tucker Carlson, President Donald Trump chimed in on the leftist circus surrounding the incident and he was none too pleased.

“Looking like Nick Sandman & Covington Catholic students were treated unfairly with early judgments proving out to be false – smeared by media,” Trump posted  Tuesday. “Not good, but making big comeback!”

Trump is dead-on with his assessment. Nick Sandmann, who was the main teenager who went viral in the images and video, has gone through unimaginable treatment online, from bullying and even death threats, because of the leftist media jumping to conclusions with nary a shred of context.

Let that sink in for a moment.

The leftist media, blinded by their anti-Trump rage, didn’t even stop to question themselves or do their due diligence before embarking on a smear campaign that targeted teenagers. The leftist media literally decided that ruining the lives of minors was acceptable collateral damage in their anti-Trump crusades.

That is sickening beyond belief. And good for people like Carlson and the president for calling that out. It should be called out. I needs to be called out.

The media should be ashamed of themselves. When Trump refers to them as “the enemy of the people,” this is exactly what he’s talking about.
