Anti-Hunter Sends Vile Message, Outfitter Gets Even by Naming Something After Her

Share

In response to the vile bigotry of some leftist loon who plastered his Facebook page with hateful messages earlier this month, one outfitter has instituted a month-long 10 percent discount for anyone seeking to purchase his hunting-themed gear.

“Most of the time I simply ignore and delete these anti-hunter posts,” outfitter Reid Vander Veen announced on Facebook a couple weeks back. “But because we’re celebrating new gear on the website, any order that uses the promo code MAGGIEGORDON between now and the end of January will receive 10% off.”

Congratulations, Maggie, you’re famous now, though certainly not in a good way. Now, everyone who follows Veen’s page knows you’re a small-minded bigot.

Check out his post below, and be sure to read the snapshots of what Maggie wrote on his page:

Maggie, you seem nice. Thanks for reaching out.

Most of the time I simply ignore and delete these anti-hunter posts….

Let’s backtrack a bit. Veen is a hunter who serves as a contributor for Wide Open Spaces, an online platform “for all things hunting, fishing, shooting and outdoors, providing content, commerce and community to an audience of sportsmen and women who share a passion for the great outdoors.”

Veen likewise runs his own hunting-themed blog and store at Tree Stand Diaries, as well as a corresponding Facebook page. Earlier this month, some lunatic using the name Maggie Gordon left a vile post on his page in which she wrote, “You are a f**king p***y and should be shot. I hate hunters, I hate hunters, I f**king hate hunters.”

Have you ever met other people like Gordon?

Why does she hate hunters? Because according to Gordon, “(t)here is only reason to go hunting — because your’e a sick a**hole who gets his hollies off of killing something.”

“It’s obviously not for ‘food,’ unless you live so far off in the middle of nowhere that you absolutely must shoot deer and crap to survive — maybe if you’re in f**king Africa or something,” she wrote.

“But in this country your redneck-a** is never more than five minutes away from McDonalds (probably the same one you work at) so don’t give me this s**t about hunting for ‘food.'”

What a piece of garbage, and I most definitely don’t mean Veen. Let me go ahead and educate this woman by citing a source I’m sure that she as a typical leftist loves: the government.

According to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, “Hunting is an important management tool” for the conservation of nature.

“For many wildlife species, hunting helps to maintain populations at levels compatible with human activity, land use and available habitat. For example, hunting helps limit deer browse in agricultural areas and deer-car collisions. Hunting may also help your garden from getting eaten by deer.”

Moreover, because of the Pittman-Robertson Act of 1937, the excise tax paid by hunters for hunting-related gear such as guns, ammunition, bows and arrows is “apportioned to state wildlife agencies … for projects such as conducting research, wildlife reintroductions and improving wildlife habitat.”

This not rocket science. These are basic-level facts Gordon could have discerned for herself had she taken just a couple minutes to pull her head out of her rear and try to learn something.

But she didn’t, did she? No. Instead she spouted hateful nonsense and, in the process, showed her true colors to the world.
