Crenshaw: Amy McGrath's Double Flip-Flop on Kavanaugh Is Typical Leftist 'Pandering'

Share

Amy McGrath ran an unsuccessful campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018.

And now, just a few days into her 2020 Senate campaign bid to unseat Mitch McConnell, McGrath is already tripping over her leftist shoe laces.

On Wednesday, McGrath was asked if she would have voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh.

Her answer was, to her momentary credit, an unequivocal yes. “There was nothing in his record that I think would disqualify him in any way,” McGrath told the Courier-Journal. And the fact is, when you have the president and the Senate, this is our system, and so I don’t think there was anything that would have disqualified him in my mind.”

And then her leftist cronies lost their mind.

She was bombarded with criticism and hate for daring to step out of the box and be an individual.

Do you think Mitch McConnell will defeat Amy McGrath?

The leftist version of tolerance only extends to those who think exactly like them.

So, McGrath did what leftists do.

She caved like a house of cards.

“I was asked earlier today about Judge Brett Kavanaugh and I answered based upon his qualifications to be on the Supreme Court,” McGrath tweeted. “But upon further reflection and further understanding of his record, I would have voted no.”

“I know I disappointed many today with my initial answer on how I would have voted on Brett Kavanaugh. I will make mistakes and always own up to them. The priority is defeating Mitch McConnell,” McGrath wrote, after figuring out her party doesn’t take too kindly to independent thought.

But Ms. Flippity McFlopperson’s flip-flop didn’t escape Rep. Dan Crenshaw’s ever-watchful and patriotic eye.

“Democrat candidates keep making mistakes like this because they have no governing foundations, no concrete ideas to anchor their positions on,” Crenshaw tweeted in direct response to McGrath’s sudden change of heart. “Just reactionary leftism that results in confusion and pandering.”

The campaign Twitter account of McGrath’s 2020 opponent also didn’t miss the opportunity to throw a well-timed jab.

McGrath may find her footing soon, but so far, her campaign is off to a rocky start.
