Desperate Women from Socialist Country Literally Resorting To Selling Their Bodies

Share

Much like the Hindenburg and the idea of more “Die Hard” sequels, socialism might sound like a good idea on paper.

In practice, they’re disasters.

It’s truly mind-boggling that there are people in America who think that socialism works.

It’s even more appalling that there are American politicians who want to foist this bill of false goods on the people.

Candidates such as Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are being ignorant at best or willfully misleading at worst when they campaign on a socialist platform.

If you ever needed proof about the merits of socialism, look at the once-thriving nation of Venezuela.

One of the most prosperous countries in South America is now a destitute shell of its former self, with a corrupt president and starving citizens.

In particular, look at the horrifying effects socialism has had on women throughout Venezuela.

According to a Fox News report Saturday, desperate Venezuelan women have taken to selling everything from their hair to their breast milk to their entire bodies in order to make ends meet. Venezuelans, men and women, frequently trek to Colombia to sell what they can.

That is what socialism gets you; people so desperate for a few dollars that their bodies become exchangeable goods in neighboring countries.

“Thousands upon thousands of Venezuelans pour into Colombia over the crowd cross-country bridge, their faces gaunt, carrying little more than a backpack,” Fox News’ Hollie McKay writes. “Rail-thin women cradle their tiny babies, and beg along the trash-strewn gutters. Teens hawk everything from cigarettes to sweets and water for small change.”

To truly encapsulate the destructive nature of socialism, consider this little snippet from the article: “Venezuelans — many with university degrees or decent jobs in what was once the wealthiest nation in Latin America — are now resorting to whatever it takes to survive.”

College degrees and decent jobs have been made so meaningless there that selling one’s body is more lucrative.

Women are making $10 to $30 selling their hair for wigs, depending on quality and length.

Breast milk is being sold or donated to help families.

“I have to give my baby goat milk because baby formula is $12. It would take me three months to make $12,” Alberto Camacho told Fox News.

Worst of all, women as young as 14 are selling their bodies for sexual favors. This obviously has the trickle-down effect of contributing to the worldwide sex-trafficking epidemic.

This is the direction America could ostensibly head in if socialism ever takes real roots in the country.

Yes, buffoons like Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez are worth a good laugh or two. But their ideas and politics present a gravely serious danger to this country, and we need to be reminded of that at every turn.
