Former Planned Parenthood Director Who Inspired Pro-Life Movie 'Unplanned' Gives Birth to Baby Boy

Share

Abby Johnson, the pro-life advocate whose brave story inspired the movie “Unplanned,” gave birth to a healthy baby boy on May 31.

Johnson did not know the baby’s gender until he was delivered, and posted on Twitter to make the exciting announcement.

“Our baby BOY is here!!! Welcome to the world, Fulton Johnson!” she wrote.

Fulton is welcomed by his parents and seven older siblings who live together in Texas.

On May 23, Johnson announced on Twitter that she had finished her last work-related duty and was officially on maternity leave.

On May 31, she updated her followers again with news that she and her husband were on the way to the hospital to welcome their new baby.

She also shared that her pregnancy had started out as twins, but sadly, Johnson lost “Baby A” in October.

“Losing one baby, but then also having one healthy baby growing is a really complicated feeling,” she wrote.

“The happiness, coupled with profound sadness is really weird…so I tried not to think about it too much.”

Johnson and her family placed a memorial stone at a Catholic cemetery in honor of Mary Maxine, the baby girl they lost.

Johnson is known for leaving her longstanding career with Planned Parenthood and becoming a fierce advocate for the pro-life movement.

Leaving the industry proved incredibly difficult for Johnson, who said on her website that Planned Parenthood saw her exit as a major threat and tried to silence her, bringing her to court.

In addition to fighting for the lives of unborn babies, Johnson has a passion for helping abortion clinic workers exit the abortion industry.

Johnson is the founder of “And Then There Were None,” a non-profit organization dedicated to helping abortion clinic workers ease out of the industry, providing counseling and emotional, financial, and legal support as workers transition into new careers and heal from the trauma of their job.

While Johnson has put her work duties on pause while she enjoys time with her newborn baby, she is sure to resume her unwavering advocacy for social justice with an army of warriors by her side.
