HGTV Stars Celebrate Beautiful New Addition to Their Family

Share

The HGTV family has already grown in 2018 with the arrival of a baby girl! “Home Town” stars Erin and Ben Napier welcomed their first child, Helen, with an adorable announcement on Instagram on Jan. 4.

“Helen,” was the simple caption, along with a smattering of photos from their first moments together as a family of three. We can’t think of a better way to start off a new year than with newborn snuggles!

The Laurel, Mississippi, couple announced back in October that they were expecting. “She’s a girl and we will name her after my grandmother,” Erin wrote on her blog.

The baby’s timely arrival comes just days before Season 2 of “Home Town” kicks off on Jan. 8. With the hard work of filming behind them, Erin and Ben can focus on the hard work ahead of them, wrapped snugly in a little bundle.

“My prayer for Helen is that she will be brave and kind,” Erin wrote on her blog. “I pray that she will not be bullied the way I was, and that she will be a protector of the ones who are.”

Erin hopes her daughter will look to her Daddy for guidance. “I pray that she will learn that from her father, the protector who loves the people in his life so well,” she wrote.

With the launch of “Home Town” season two, Erin decided to give a little background about her family on a recent Instagram post. She shared that she and Ben met in college, and six days later decided they were a marriage match.

They have been a couple ever since, balancing each other out with their introvert/extrovert personalities. They seem to be doing well after the birth of Helen, thanks to the saving strength of coffee.

“It’s amazing the energy you get with 20 minutes of sleep and a strong cup of coffee,” Ben Napier wrote on Instagram, holding his pink-bowed bundle. “Of course, falling in love helps with that also.”

Something about coming into parenthood for the first time makes spouses have a whole new level of love and respect for one another. Ben admitted he loves his wife now more than ever, a love he never knew was possible.

Erin feels the same way, with her loving words to Ben. “Thank you for your heart and your love that’s big enough to carry Helen and I both, and for holding my hand every step of the way,” she beamed.
