Kate Middleton's Back-To-School Shopping Fail Is Moment Every Parent Can Relate To
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are gearing up for another school year for their oldest son, George, and their daughter, Charlotte.
In the past, the Duchess has released photos of her children on the first day of school.
This year, she opted not to, leaving a few fans disappointed, but understanding overall of the royal family’s desire to keep their children out of the limelight from time to time.
Princess Charlotte, 3, is starting back up at Willocks Nursery School while big brother Prince George, 5, attends Thomas’s Battersea.
While Kate Middleton could certainly ask for help with some of the back-to-school duties that every family faces, it seems the Duchess is opting to do things herself.

According to the British publication Hello! the Duchess personally took her two children shoe shopping in preparation for the school year.
They entered the London department store, Peter Jones, to stock up on school shoes and Prince George’s school uniform.
During the outing, Middleton experienced a classic parenting faux pas, a source told Hello.
The Duchess apparently forgot that her children were wearing sandals and she did not remember to bring socks for them to wear while they tried on shoes. The department store had socks that her children could borrow — no big deal, it happens to the best of us!

Royal family fans seem encouraged to know that Middleton is human just like the rest of us.
Many are praising Middleton for taking a hands-on approach to parenting and physically being present with her kids to handle the day-to-day tasks that she easily could have outsourced.
I, on the other hand, used Amazon Prime for my family’s back-to-school shoe needs.
Middleton reportedly is also personally dropping her kids off at school, an event she missed in 2017 because she was so sick while pregnant with her third child, Prince Louis.
People have learned to be calm during school drop off, even in the midst of royalty.

With or without photos of the prince and princess this year, we can safely assume the royal children were wearing proper footwear in spite of their mother’s charming mom-brain mistake.
