Man Reportedly Begs Thief for Irreplaceable Photos of Dog’s Last Day After Being Robbed

Share

Returning to your home to find it has been robbed is unsettling, to say the least. You feel violated and upset as you realize what valuables were stolen.

Some items are replaceable, but other items hold a deep sentimental value that mean nothing to the thief, but a great deal to us.

According to News18, one dog owner from Toronto, Canada, realized with sadness that his camera had been stolen out of his home. While the camera itself was replaceable, the photos contained on the memory card were not.

To make matters worse, the man’s dog had reportedly just died within days of the robbery. Memories of his dog’s final days were captured in photos that had been on that camera.

Saoirse Morgan from Toronto, Canada, was allegedly walking in the Toronto area when she saw the flier the man had made. Morgan took a picture of the flier and posted it on Facebook.

While Morgan’s post is no longer available, she had hoped the robber might see the flier and have a change of heart.

“This is simply heartbreaking. I hope this person does the right thing,” Morgan wrote, as reported by Metro UK.

The typed flier read, “Keep the cash, and my DSLR, and whatever else you took. But if you have the memory card from the camera, please, it has photos of my dog’s last day alive on it. I cannot replace those photos.”

The man asked the robber to return the memory card in any way possible, writing, “please throw it onto the porch or put it in the mail slot. Or mail it.”

The grieving dog owner concluded with a heartbreaking plea that anyone who has lost a loved one can understand.

“Please. She died a few days ago. I cannot lose those photos as well,” the owner wrote, according to photos of the flier.

Morgan’s post circulated on social media before it was removed, but at the time of writing, no reports have been made as to whether or not the man ever got his memory card back.

Hope remains that the robber does see the flier and still has access to the memory card that contains some very precious moments of the late dog’s life.
