Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Prepare 600 Invites with 1 Surprising Royal Guest

Share

It’s getting down to the wire for planning the royal wedding, and the newly engaged couple are experiencing what every bride and groom since the beginning of invitations has experienced.

Drafting the invite list. While many aspects of wedding planning are stressful, deciding who makes the cut can heal or break family ties and friendships.

The drama in the royal family looked like it was heating up earlier this week before contrary reports clarified the situation. It all centered on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding invitations.

Multiple outlets reported that one controversial figure in particular was going to be left off the guest list for Harry’s wedding.

The news was hardly a shock since Prince Andrew’s ex-wife has been left out of multiple events in the past.

Sarah Ferguson wasn’t on the guest list for Will and Kate’s wedding in 2011 and decided to take a trip instead.

“I was not invited, and I chose to go and be in Thailand in a place called Camelia and…the jungle embraced me,” she told The Oprah Winfrey Show at the time.

The snub was difficult for Ferguson, “because I wanted to be there with my girls … to be getting them dressed and to go as a family,” she explained.

Now, it seems like she won’t have to endure the same hardship a second time. We’re sure she’s happy to have made this list!

A source close to the royal family has recently clarified the situation. It looks like the controversial royal figure will be in attendance after all.

“Invitations for Harry and Meghan’s wedding are expected to go out the first week of March. Despite reports to the contrary, Sarah Ferguson will be receiving one and attending,” the source told Us Magazine.

“Harry has always intended to invite Sarah to the wedding. He is very close to Eugenie and Beatrice and their mother is just as much family as their father.”

Eugenie and Beatrice are Ferguson’s daughters. It appears that this wedding invitation is meant to help mend the relationship between the rest of the royals and Ferguson.

“Harry and Meghan have total control over who goes to the wedding and there was never an issue at the Palace about Sarah being invited. No pushback from anyone,” the source explained.

Although Ferguson might be the most surprising guest on the list, there are other interesting inclusions.

A source told Us Magazine that Priyanka Chopra, Misha Nonoo, Tanya Burr, and Serena Williams will all be there as well.

The date of the wedding is set for May 19. We eagerly await more information about the couple’s impressive guest list.
