Dad on Vacation Goes Viral After Singing 'Ave Maria' at Disney Resort Hotel
A Connecticut dad recently shocked thousands of people across the internet after his 6-year-old daughter begged him to sing during their vacation to Walt Disney World.
The video, filmed by his wife, quickly went viral and after you watch it, you’ll understand why.
Justin Gigliello was on vacation with his wife, Lauren, and his young daughter, Lyla in March 2019.
While walking through the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa hotel lobby after lunch, Lyla asked the pianist if her daddy could sing along with him, but the pianist had no idea just how talented Gigliello was.
Gigliello told Liftable, a section of The Western Journal, that he has been singing since he was 15 years old. He even graduated from Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a degree in voice performance.
Now he and his wife run an underwriting business while he also regularly volunteers with his local community’s volunteer fire department.
Even though he hasn’t pursued a career in music, it still plays a big role in his life.
He teaches voice and piano lessons locally, but most importantly he has passed on his love for music to his daughter. Gigliello told Liftable that they sing together all of the time at home.
Gigliello’s wife, Lauren, told WVIT, “As soon as I wake up, if I don’t hear him, I’ll hear her.”
It’s not hard to see how proud little Lyla is of her father in the now-viral video from their recent family vacation.
After the family finished their lunch at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Lyla walked up to the pianist and proudly told him that her father also plays the piano, but Gigliello explained that he sang more.
So after some prompting from his daughter, he decided to sing a beautiful rendition of “Ave Maria” that caused people passing by to stop and listen.
By the time the song ended, a small crowd had gathered and they all applauded Gigliello’s magical performance.
He later uploaded the video to show some of his old peers and professors the special moment, but it soon accumulated over 690,000 views on his personal Facebook alone, as of Friday afternoon.
“I had no idea this video was going to go viral,” he told Liftable, but there’s no denying that his talent deserves the recognition.
This viral video is just another example of how small moments can quickly turn into magical ones, especially at the happiest place on earth.
