Alleged Synagogue Shooter Was Avid Anti-Trump Nazi, Believed President Was Controlled by Jews

Share

The alleged shooter responsible for Saturday morning’s deadly shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is an anti-Trump fanatic and believes the president is controlled by Jews, according to posts he made on his social media.

Robert Bowers, the suspected shooter who killed at least 8 and wounded a number of others during a weekly Shabbat service, would often post his anti-Trump ravings online.

After President Trump made comments at a rally in Texas on Monday referring to himself as a nationalist, Bowers responded by calling Trump a “globalist” and then used an anti-Semitic slur.

“Trump is a globalist, not a nationalist. There is no #MAGA as long as there is a ki** infestation,” Bowers wrote.”But go ahead and keep saying you are #Winning.”

Bowers also said he never voted for Trump.

“For the record, I did not vote for him nor have I owned, worn or even touched a maga hat,” the suspected shooter wrote.

Cuban-American producer Robby Starbuck posted the shooter’s ravings on Twitter.

“His profile clearly illustrates that he’s a Nazi, admired Hitler, hates Trump, believes Trump is controlled by Jews, he did not vote for Trump,” Starbuck wrote.

Many of the suspected shooter’s anti-Trump posts have been collected in a large archive.

Trump responded immediately to the shooting, speaking with Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto and Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf.

“Spoke with Mayor and Governor to inform them that the Federal Government has been, and will be, with them all the way. I will speak to the media shortly and make further statement at Future Farmers of America,” Trump tweeted.

According to authorities, the suspect surrendered to police after a shootout and is now in custody. At least three officers were shot.
