Another HGTV Star Has a Big Announcement! And We Can't Get Over It

Share

Big families always seem to have something fun and exciting in the works, and the HGTV family is certainly one of them.

In between revitalizing cities and renovating homes, the HGTV stars let fans come along for the ride with glimpses into their personal lives.

In January, “Home Town” stars Erin and Ben Napier welcomed their first child, Helen. The HGTV family was thrilled to welcome the sweet little bundle into the world, and we have no doubt she already knows how to wield a power tool.

Another HGTV star recently made a big announcement of her own, and fans are over the moon with excitement.

In a witty, big-screen-production-themed photo, “Good Bones” star Mina Starsiak announced that she is expecting her first child this summer.

Starsiak posed on a couch wearing a T-shirt that read, “It’s not a food baby.”

Her husband, Stephen Hawk, was seated beside her reading a parenting book while the couple’s three furbabies wore their own varying reactions to the news.

“[Stephen] and I are suuuper excited to finally announce… Baby Hawk coming 2018!!!!” Starsiak’s caption read. The couple expects their baby to arrive sometime in August.

“We’re thrilled for this first baby journey and that we’re going to be able to share it all with YOU!” the caption continued. “Special episode of our forever home build for baby is in the works!!!!”

Starsiak and Hawk married in the summer of 2016 and have been busy parenting their three dogs.

They also got their feet wet with human child parenting as well when Starsiak’s 2-year-old niece moved in for awhile.

“Julie lived with us for about nine months while my sister figured out her stuff,” Starsiak told PEOPLE. “Now she’s back with her and she seems to be doing well so it’s really good.”

Are you excited for the new arrival?

The experience changed Starsiak for the better, the star admitted. She confessed that parenting a toddler helped thaw her self-proclaimed icy heart.

“I think everyone likes me better now that I had Julie, my ‘Juju Bean,’” Starsiak told PEOPLE. “I can be somewhat cold, but when you have a kid, you just can’t be.”

Now, the star’s heart will no doubt continue to change as she prepares to welcome her firstborn come August.

The HGTV network expressed their heartfelt excitement over Starsiak’s big announcement, saying “we’ve already got a tiny silver hammer waiting for our newest little renovator!”
